Moving Target

My friend, Cindy wanted to get some pictures of Beckett the other day. This proved to be quite entertaining as he wouldn't sit still for nothing! About the time she would snap the picture he was off and running again! We tried to get all the kids involved but that ended in D*R*A*M*A oh the joy of having daughters!! Cindy did manage to get a few good ones in all the chaos!

Happy Birthday, Alden!!

It's hard to believe that my second born is now 7 years old!! Where did the time go? It seems that in her short life that her daddy has missed most of her birthday's either from deployments or PCSing. This year when asked what she wanted for her birthday she said all she wanted was a birthday party where her daddy could come. So, even though it wasn't the most convenient time to throw a birthday party and I wouldn't recommend throwing a birthday party in the middle of a move, but we did it! (the sacrifices we make for our children!) We celebrated a couple of weeks early than her May 9Th birthday so that Trace could attend. He left the very next day for Ohio! She wanted an "Under the Sea" theme. My friend, Cindy created the cutest of cute invitations for her swim party that was held in our base indoor pool. A good time was had by all! Alden also happened to be visiting her grandparents on her "real" birthday that she got to celebrate twice with her family! Lucky girl!

catching up...

I've got a lot of catching up to do. This past month has been SO busy! We had family and friends visiting back to back, Packers and Movers, a Birthday Party, and as if we were'nt busy enough a trip to Washington DC thrown in there courtesy of the USAF!! What a month. Unfortnatly, there's no rest for the weary as it appears this next month is going to be just as busy. The kids and I leave for Arizona next week for our three week vacation and then it's back to South Dakota to pick up our car and make the long trek to Ohio! This is not soon enough for Trace who is already missing his family! :(
